HAMILTON — A crucial holding call to a veteran offensive line, a non-call for roughing the passer and an interception — in one stunning series of events the Hamilton Tiger-Cats blew their shot at completing their comeback story.

Sean Whyte kicked the game-winning field goal from nine yards with seven seconds left as the Edmonton Eskimos prevailed 24-21 in this East semifinal.
There were all kinds of sequences when the game could have changed, but none was an significant as the series that led to the pick and the kick that sends Edmonton to Ottawa for next Sunday’s East final.
