Ottawa Senators GM Pierre Dorion Ready to Discuss Potential Deals at Meetings

As the Senators pack their bags to head to the City of Brotherly Love Monday to prepare to face the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night, general manager Pierre Dorion will be going in a different direction.
He’ll head to Toronto to attend the NHL GMs meetings, which will take place Tuesday, a day after the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.
There will be no shortage of talk amongst the GMs surrounding blindside hits and the always controversial goaltending equipment, but Dorion will also get the chance to gauge where the Senators are at and determine what the asking price might be if he wants to make a deal or two.
The Senators hit the 15-game mark Sunday at home against the Minnesota Wild and the club is starting to get a good idea where this team stands. On that front Dorion isn’t alone and the expectation is the level of trade talks will pick up because American Thanksgiving on Nov. 24 is usually the point where teams decide if they need upgrades.<
