Innovation is on an all high, very foodily! KFC has launched fried chicken corsages, touting it as the ultimate ‘promposal’  gift for girls .

This corsage is the fast food chain’s edible fashion accessory – found at www.kfc.com/corsage for $20 and it features one golden drumstick along with a wreath of sweet-smelling baby’s breath flowers.

A YouTube video which was uploaded on April 9 to introduce the novel product has been viewed more than 250,000 times.

‘Love can be awkward…Make it less awkward by surprising your date with a corsage that will make her eyes light up and her mouth water.’ says the video description.

KFC suggests that its crispy ‘Chicken Corsage’ should be used by high school students to ask their sweetheart to prom.

The company has teamed up with Nanz & Kraft, a Kentucky-based florist to help craft the product and offer additional flower suggestions.

They have sold almost 40 of the grease-laden bouquets while only 100 limited-edition chicken corsages are available, according to KFC.com Lucky ladies can choose from three flavors: Original Recipe, Extra Crispy or Kentucky Grilled Chicken.
