Roethlisberger Insists he’s Okay Despite Foot Injury

Congratulations quickly turned to concern Sunday for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but Ben Roethlisberger claims it’s nothing to worry about it.
Coming off the Steelers’ 30-12 wild-card win over the Miami Dolphins, Big Ben caused a stir when he showed up to his post-game newser wearing a protective boot on his right foot.
With good reason, many wondered if Roethlisberger would be ready for Sunday’s AFC divisional playoff date with the Chiefs in Kansas City, but those worries were eased Monday after an MRI showed a previous injury was the culprit.
Roethlisberger fully expects to be ready for next weekend’s game at Arrowhead Stadium.
“It showed I aggravated an old foot fracture, but nothing severe,” Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I should be good to go.”
The 34-year-old said the boot was put on as a precaution after the game and he didn’t need the protective device Monday.
