Leafs ink Goalie Enroth, Promote Hunter to Assistant GM
Jhonas Enroth is finally a Maple Leaf.
Weeks after a contract with Toronto was reported as imminent in Sweden, the club announced Monday that the free agent goaltender signed a one-year deal worth $750,000 US. He will back up Frederik Andersen as the Leafs make a total break from the traded tandem of Jonathan Bernier and James Reimer.
Enroth, 28, appeared in 16 regular season games with the Los Angeles Kings last year, posting a record of 7-5-1 with a .922 save percentage and a 2.17 goals against average.
