Motivated Raptors Roll Over 76ers
Having watched a lowlight reel of the worst moments of a recent five-game road trip, the Raptors understandably came out fired up against the young Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night at the ACC.
Head coach Dwane Casey had shown his charges a carefully curated horror film featuring blown assignments, opposition waltzes into the paint and forceful slam dunks in the hopes that the Raptors would be motivated to not look past the young, talent-challenged visitors.
If that was the plan, it worked. The Raptors held the Sixers to 38% shooting through three quarters and built up a 20-point advantage on the way to a third consecutive win, this one an easy 122-95 walk.
