Jets Coach Todd Bowles Hospitalized Day Before Facing Patriots
New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles was admitted to hospital Friday afternoon with an undisclosed illness, multiple reports said.
Bowles did not travel up the Atlantic coast with the Jets to New England, for Saturday afternoon’s game against the Patriots.
Bowles was reported to be in stable condition.
If he is unable to work the game, reports said Jets assistant head coach Mike Caldwell would fill in.
Bowles is the fourth NFL head coach to be rushed to hospital this season, following temporary visits by Denver’s Gary Kubiak (complex migraines), Arizona’s Bruce Arians (chest pains) and Minnesota’s Mike Zimmer (detached retina).
