Game of Thrones: Slots To Be Released This Fall

The adaptation of multiple Hugo and Nebula award winner George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire to the TV screens, the series called Game of Thrones, has been an incredible success. The series, the actors and the production team has won a number of awards themselves, including several Emmys, Golden Globes, Scream Awards, Satellite Awards and six Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
The story was adapted to multiple platforms – including four official video games based on the universe in which the story unravels, and a series of unofficial, fan-made modifications (mods) for various video games.
This fall the fans of the series (and the books, of course) will have the opportunity to play a fifth official game based on the story of the Game of Thrones, this time released by the Isle of Man based game developer Microgaming, involved in the iGaming industry.
Microgaming has announced the signing of a license agreement with HBO Global Licensing this February, for the development and release of a video slot machine based on the popular TV series Game of Thrones. According to the press release issued by the company, the game will take on the fantastic themes and the intricate plot of the series, giving birth to a truly epic piece of gaming software.
“We are incredibly excited to have signed a licensing agreement for Game of Thrones, a highly relevant and extremely popular show,” said Roger Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming. “We plan on taking all of the features of the small screen fantasy epic to create a masterpiece of a slot. This will be a fantastic addition to our branded content games portfolio. Our operators and their players have plenty to look forward to this year!”
“Game of Thrones has a huge global presence online, and our partnership with Microgaming will extend the show’s reach into a completely new realm,” said Josh Goodstadt, Director of HBO Global Licensing. “We’re thrilled to be working with Microgaming, a giant in its field, and we have every confidence that the show’s active fan base will be very excited to find another new way to engage with the show.”
Judging by the company’s previous game releases, the Game of Thrones will probably be launched through ca.redflushcasino.com and other outlets using their software at the beginning of this October, or November the latest.
So, what should you expect from the Game of Thrones slot machine? Well, Microgaming has a relevant experience in releasing movie and TV based games – they have adapted Chris Nolan’s The Dark Knight series, the Terminator, Jurassic Park, or TV shows like Battlestar Galactica in the past. So, I think you can expect the best…
