A live Harry Potter concert is coming to Montreal this fall

It’s time to freshen up on your spell books, muggles. A live Harry Potter concert is coming to Montreal.

The cultural phenomena that is Harry Potter has delighted fans all over the world, and now, the magic is set to take over Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier for two dates on November 22 and 23.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will play on a giant screen while a full symphony performs Nicholas Hooper’s magical score from the movie. The film will be played in English with French subtitles.

“Relive the magic of year six in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince™ in Concert,” reads the Place des Arts website. “With this film, based on the sixth installment of JK Rowling’s classic saga, fans of all ages can now experience the thrilling tale of Harry’s obsession with a mysterious potions book accompanied by the music of a live symphony orchestra as Harry soars across the big screen in HD!”

Fans are encouraged to dress up, and relive some of the favourite JK Rowling moments from her early work.

Be sure to remember that even Dumbledore called music, “a magic beyond all we do here.”
