The preventive advisory issued Monday afternoon is for an indefinite period, according to borough councillor Mindy Pollak, who tweeted the announcement.

The following homes are affected: Residents who live between 352 and 1090 Van Horne Ave., between 6218 and 6300 Durocher St., between 6128 and 6300 Hutchinson St. (on the west side of the street only) and between 6080 and 6306 Parc Ave., also on the west side of street.

Residents are required to bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least a minute before drinking it or use bottled water. The boroughs said they will advise residents when the advisory is lifted.
