Public health has updated the region’s data in connection to the pandemic. The Montreal metropolitan area has the unenviable role of having the most cases throughout the province.

With 47,909 known cases of the virus as of November 20, Montreal accounts for 36.9% of Quebec’s 129,699 total. Montreal also makes up 3,589 (52%) of Quebec’s 6,774 coronavirus-related deaths.

Montreal’s COVID-related death toll has increased by 45 individuals since November 6. The city has also announced 4,072 new cases since then.

“Montreal is taking measures to protect the population from COVID-19,” says the city’s website. “These measures are changing as the situation evolves, which is why we are constantly monitoring its evolution.”

Santé Montreal, the city’s public health department, has updated its website, breaking down known cases per district. The agency says Montreal’s cases and deaths are continuing to stabilize.

Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension reported the biggest increase over two weeks, rising by 385 cases. Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue had the smallest increase, confirming only two more cases since November 6.

Here’s how cases look across the Montreal area in descending order:
